Version 2.09 Boot Eprom – 2001 through 2006

I always receive a lot of questions about the 2.09 Boot Eprom. The purpose of this boot Eprom is to boot the hard drive and nothing else. It will not upgrade any games as it is only intended to boot the hard drive.

Back in 2001 when INCREDIBLE TECHNOLOGIES  created the Golden Tee and Buck Hunter games, they were using smaller hard drives, usually under 10GB of storage, because they were available new at the time. As years passed, you could not get those drives new any longer so they switched to larger 70GB drives. Unfortunately, the Golden Tee and Buck Hunter boards would not recognize the larger drives so the manufacturer had to create a new Boot Eprom that would load the new software and allow boards to recognize the larger drives.

Since I only sell 80GB and larger hard drives, that is the reason the Boot Eproms are needed.

Golden Tee Extra Courses

I receive a lot of questions about adding extra courses to the Golden Tee and if you can upgrade them or not. The extra courses were an upgrade offered in 2004 and cost about 300.00. When a 2004 is upgraded to the 2005 version, the extra courses would remain on the 2005. You cannot just change out a hard drive and get the extra courses as they must already be saved on the board.

The hard drive I sell will work on the 2005 Extra and on the 2005 without the extra courses. This is a replacement hard drive and will not add the courses if they are not already there. The easiest way to add the new courses to your Golden Tee is to purchase another board set that already has them installed.
