You have mostlikely either heard or read on the internet that you can upgrade a 2001 through 2005 Golden Tee board by simply adding a hard drive/compact flash card or changing out U53 (security IC) and have the 2006 Complete. THAT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE AND CANNOT BE DONE!!!!!

Back in 2006 / 2007 Incredible Technologies offered the 2006 Complete upgrade kit which included a security IC and a CD Rom. You would insert the security IC in position U53 and then run the CD with a CD drive hooked up to the IDE port on the board. The upgrade would start and then the screen would prompt you you to hook up cat 5 cable to the modem port and it would dail the Incredible Technologies server and it would examine the kit to make sure it was not already used in another game and if not it would contimue the upgrade process and that was how you upgraded your board 2001 through 2005 to the Complete. That being said it is called Complete because that was the end of that platform and they then moved on to the Nighthawk computer platform. The complete is 29 courses from 2001 through 2005.
